Atlanta Red

The name, Atlanta Red, was born in honor of the writer's favorite city, Atlanta, GA and the symbolism of the color, red, which is associated with passion, life, and strength.    “A.R.” is first and foremost a writer of poetry, prose, lyrics, and stories.     In addition to writing, A.R. is also a speaker and graphics designer.

 

His work has been featured on nationally syndicated radio (The Michael Baisden Show).  His art of spoken word has awarded him the #1 ranking amongst spoken word artists in May 2009 – source Ourstage.com.   As a leader and business professional, he has also spearheaded group projects, collaborations and networks:  (1). PoeticStimuls.com, a collaboration amongst spoken word artists, producers and singers focused on encouraging people adversely impacted by economic crisis.   (2).  SayItinPoetry.com, a social network community designed to promote the arts of music and poetry. (3). 7Poets1Name.com, a group of poets united to utilize poetry as a voice of inspiration.

 

The sound of his poetry ranges in both topic and sound.   Sounds of  Pop, R&B, Rock, Classical, Jazz, Gospel  are often accompanied by his voice which speaks on topics of love, sensuality, spirituality, society, and politics.  No matter what your ears attraction, you will be drawn towards his art.  Get to know him.  Listen to his words.
